A family Christmas tradition is shining brightly in Froomfield.  Pat Ryan Sr., (deceased) and his wife Rose of Fairview Avenue started stringing lights and making festive cutouts 61 years ago. The colourful display, complete with a talking snowman and dancing elves has spread to their neighbouring  children's homes of MaryAnn Riley and Dave Tremaine and Gerald and Mel Ryan. Thousands of bright lights add a festive glow to the short street.  Santa and his helpers will make a special appearance Dec. 21, 22 and 23 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. handing out candy canes and sharing holiday greetings.
